We are sure you have watched at least one soap on TV or a movie where a particularly snooty woman would turn around haughtily at some poor unsuspecting person and say “This suit cost me 4000 dollars”. Usually this shows that the person saying it is being a pain and flexing their money muscles and implying that they are superior due to the cost of their suit. You may think that spending 4000 dollars on a suit is too much but when you see the list we have put together, then you know that there are many suits that are even more expensive. We leave you with a word of warning; these can shock you!
Number 9. Brooks Brothers Custom Suit: This one is priced at 14500 dollars. This one is made from a blend of 200s merino wool which makes it very fine wool indeed and also Mongolian cashmere. It is not as if such pricey fabric can be found off the rack, it is actually woven once the order is confirmed. The suits take half an year to make from the day you place the offer.
Number 8. William Fioravanti Bespoke Suit: Priced at 20000 dollars and is made from fabrics that are custom woven. The designer is one who got the “Golden Scissors” award and comes from a lineage that has many Neapolitan tailors. You will need an appointment just to go and place the order.
Number 7. World Wood Record Challenge Cup Suit: Costing 28000 dollars buys wool from the winner of the competition for the finest wool that they sponsor yearly. This is woven into ultra luxurious fabric and this is used to make 50 suits.
Number 6. Brioni Vanquish II: Priced at about 43000 dollars this suit is made from fabrics made by Dormeuil produced by UK cloth makers. It is a blend of the exclusive fibers from across the globe. They produce 100 handmade suits from this fabric.
Number 5. Desmond Merrion Supreme Bespoke: Costing 47500 dollars, these are completely hand made and done with the client’s needs in mind. The look of the finished suit will not only look fitted but will look as if it has been sculpted for you. But this does not mean comfort and ease will be sacrificed.
Number 4. Kiton K-50: Priced at around 60000 dollars, these suits are made personally by the tailer Enzo D’Orsi who is world renowned. In case you cannot visit London for the fitting then Enzo will come to you. The name K-50 is supposed to be indicative of the 50 hours that Enzo takes to make each and every suit. He only produces about 50 suits annually.
Number 3. William Westmancott Ultimate Bespoke: Costing around 75000 dollars this totally custom made suit is direct competition to Desmond Merrion. For the extra 27500 dollars that you pay here, you will apparently get a 3 or 4 piece suit instead of just a suit of two pieces.
Number 2. Alexander Amosu’s Vanquish II Bespoke Suit: Costing about 103000 dollars it is one opulent suit. You will not get designer wear, but rather you will get a suit that has buttons made of diamond and gold. The cloth used will be from really rare wools that are among the costliest in the world.
Number 1. Richard Jewels Diamond Edition: Priced at an unbelievable 900000 dollars, these suits have 480 diamonds of half a carat each on the suit. Plus the materials used are Cashmere and silk. There are only three of these and it has taken a whopping 600 hours to finish each one.
